Question 1

What is hypnotherapy?

Accepted Answer

Hypnosis is a natural state of focused attention and deep relaxation that allows access to the subconscious mind. In that state we can work with the patterns, beliefs, and reactions that drive everyday behavior.

Question 2

Will I lose control during hypnosis?

Accepted Answer

No. All hypnosis is ultimately self-hypnosis. You remain aware and in control the entire time and cannot be made to do anything against your will. It is a collaborative, empowering process.

Question 3

Can everyone be hypnotized?

Accepted Answer

Hypnosis is a natural state we all move through in daily life. Driving somewhere and not recalling parts of the trip, or losing track of time in a film, are everyday hypnotic states — which means you already have the capacity to work with it.

Question 4

What does hypnosis feel like?

Accepted Answer

Most people describe it as a deeply relaxed, meditative calm. Your eyes are closed, you follow the sound of my voice, and you stay aware of the room around you throughout.

Question 5

How many sessions will I need?

Accepted Answer

It depends on you and what you're working on. Some goals shift meaningfully in a few sessions, while deeper patterns benefit from a structured program. We map out a realistic approach together in your consultation.

Question 6

Is hypnotherapy safe?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Hypnosis is a safe, natural state and you stay in control throughout. It is not a replacement for medical or mental health care, and results vary from person to person.

Question 7

What happens during my first session?

Accepted Answer

We start conscious and aware: what you want to change, what has kept it in place, and what a better outcome looks like. From there we begin exploring the beliefs and blocks underneath it, which brings clarity before deeper work begins.

Question 8

Can sessions be done virtually?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. Hypnosis relies on language and connection rather than physical presence, and many people find sessions from home even more comfortable. All you need is a quiet space and a stable internet connection.
